Healing Valves Ethiopia is proud to share the story of our 43rd free life-saving cardiac surgery, made possible through compassion, unity, and hope.
Solomon is a young construction worker whose daily labor supports his life and dreams. Diagnosed with severe heart disease, he urgently required a double valve replacement surgery. The cost of the procedure was estimated at 1.4 million Ethiopian birr, an amount far beyond his reach. After hearing this, Solomon lost hope and began preparing himself for the unimaginable.
At the eve of Christmas, when hope often feels distant for many in need, a miracle arrived. A kind and generous donor, who chose to remain anonymous, stepped forward and covered the full cost of Solomonโs surgery. In that moment, despair turned into life, and fear was replaced with a future.
This surgery marks the 43rd life saved through Healing Valves Ethiopiaโs mission to fight Rheumatic Heart Disease and provide access to critical cardiac care for those who cannot afford it.
